Internal Contingency Plan
Josefa d’Óbidos Hotel has established a Contingency Plan with hygiene plans and protocols that outline internal procedures in line with the prevention, control, and surveillance of our Guests, Clients, Employees, and Partners’ health, hygiene, and safety.
The protocols we subscribe to, internationally and nationally, include working methods that we perceive as essential guarantees for everyone to be and feel safe at our hotel.
We are Clean&Safe!
Josefa d’Óbidos Hotel has undertaken the commitments of the Declaração Estabelecimento Clean&Safe (Clean&Safe Establishment Declaration), set by Turismo de Portugal (Tourism of Portugal). We have adopted this set of conducts and want to help encourage the revival of the tourism industry, by reinforcing trust in Óbidos and Portugal as destinations and its tourist resources!
WTTC-World Travel & Tourism Council Seal
We have committed to WTTC, Safe Travels’ seal because we believe in global canons. This seal recognises worldwide companies (and governments) that have adopted global standardised health and hygiene protocols so that tourists can experience “Safe travelling”!
Hospitality in the “new normal”
This premise has influenced our daily routine, particularly in the following areas:
- When carrying out their tasks, everyone in our team wears a mask, everywhere inside the Hotel.
- When welcoming you in the reception, you will receive a welcome kit with personal protective equipment (disposable face mask and gloves and a hand sanitiser gel container).
- Dispensers are available in several communal areas in our Hotel.
- Cleaning and disinfection procedures were improved and became more regular and thorough. Our two C&S managers oversee supervising. They are also available to help you with any questions you may have.
Sealed door after sanitation and disinfection
After the cleaning and sanitation service in each of our rooms/suites, they will remain locked and sealed until you enter your suite/room. This certification (with an assigned date and time and certified by the C&S managers) foresees the placement of a seal that ensures the locking of your suite/room until you open the door.
“Do not enter my room” service
When checking-in, you can select the option “Do not enter my room”, indicating that all services remain available, but our team will not enter your suite/room during your stay and until you inform us otherwise.
Services such as room service, towel delivery, luggage assistance, and other tasks will take place in the reception area of the Hotel.
Have breakfast with us!
The continental breakfast at Josefa d’Óbidos Hotel, available from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., is not included in your rate. However, you can request it during check-in, with an extra cost, pre-booking, and according to your preferences (buffet, in your room, or take away).
We may be social distancing, but we are not distant
We kindly ask that everyone keeps their 1.5-2 meters social distance while in all our communal areas, including our restaurant and our Bar & Games Room.
