We are the perfect accommodation for those who fancy staying at the heart of the central Portugal but, at the same time, close enough to nature and a broad historical and cultural patrimony.
We are less than an hour away from Lisbon and about two hours (by car) from Porto. We are a 4-star hotel that offers customised service. In addition to our wide range of services and amenities, our ideal location allows you to get to know the nature that surrounds the village and its territory: Óbidos lagoon, Foz do Arelho beach’s extensive sand, Berlengas archipelago, and centuries of history inside Óbidos walls!

We have undergone a refurbishment in 2016 and today all our suites and rooms, outdoor space, an exclusive restaurant, and Bar & Games Room are available for you.
Our Guests are our main priority! We aim to focus on your wishes, your safety, and your welfare so that your stay is a valuable experience and all the little details are met. Therefore, our internal health security and hygiene protocols have been adjusted and are (even more) in line with the global guidelines set out by the World Travel & Tourism Council and Turismo de Portugal (Tourism of Portugal) regarding Travelling &Tourism.

MOVEMENT #JOSEFABOOKCROSSING
FREE BOOKS IN THE WORLD
We collaborate for the positioning of Óbidos literary village, regarding cultural relevance and tourist differentiation. That's why we created a Reading Corner at the entrance of our Hotel!
Our literary project #josefabookcrossing is inspired by the international bookcrossing movement and intends to stimulate the creation of tourism&reading habits, associated to the destination Óbidos Creative City of Literature.
Our guests are invited to leave a book for others to find and read, and to take another with them in place.
Through reading, and sending photographs of places where these books will be discovered, we help to release books in global destinations, without geographical boundaries, and we invite you to share these photos with #josefabookcrossing (hashtag).

PROJECT
Our collaboration, in positioning Óbidos as a village with literary relevance and a destination with tourist differentiation, remains as one of our cultural strategies to continue collaborating in the creation of tourism&reading habits.
The local artistic project #AgarrarArTe is born in the wall of the entrance of our hotel because it is time to continue spreading the practice of bookcrossing, while promoting a meeting between local artists of Óbidos municipality.
#AgarrarArTe combine art, tourism and reading. But this project is much more: It is the combination of the artistic dedication of Carlos Oliveira (sculptor ceramist), Jorge Lindinho (potter), Cecília Ribeiro (jewellery designer) and Teresa Uva (ceramics and glass designer).

We named this local project #AgarrarArTe because it was only through the claw, the enthusiasm, the inspiration and the sharing of the time of 4 artists that it was possible to AGREE ideas and merge different notions of ART...
One of the fragments of Fernando Pessoa's biographical book, with the thoughts of one of the greatest authors of the 20th century, had to be our starting point for the simple artistic installation that can be seen on the wall of our hotel.
To Carlos, Jorge, Teresa and Cecília, we thank the "sublime" art installation that now punctuates the timeless message of meaning, of our Fernando Pessoa!
